de Sede at imm Cologne

As has become tradition, imm cologne once again heralded in the start to the new furniture year, attracting some 100,000 visitors to the German city this year. More than 1,000 international manufacturers took advantage of the sector’s largest trade show to present the latest trends and new products from the realm of furniture.

Exciting new models and an up-dated design philosophy hallmarked the appearance of the new de Sede stand. In re-orienting our design, we have reached back to our historic strengths and at the same time taken a look into the future with modern concepts by young designers.

The works of two Swiss designers, in particular, attracted avid attention at the de Sede stand: Robert Haussmann has gently rejuvenated his RH-304 “Unesco Chair” and his RH-305 design 50 years after their original creation, while Philippe Bestenheider’s design for his contemporary DS-315 armchair and DS-9045 aluminium table are intriguing audiences with their fresh modern lines. The DS-80 model, a slightly modernised version of an original design from the Seventies, demonstrates the lasting worth of excellent design and top-flight craftsmanship.

We will be presenting further impressions from the new world of de Sede from 14 to 19 April in Milan at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile:
