Production, delivery time and assembly
There are more than 150 experienced staff working at de Sedes production facilities, where all the core activities are performed by a small team of specialists who have mastered the arts of traditional craftsmanship. Choosing the leather, cutting and sewing it and then the upholstery work itself form the heart of furniture making at de Sede.
The skill of the craftsmen engaged in this work ensures that the result is no mass-produced product, but that each and every item of furniture we manufacture has an individual charm and character thanks to the pattern of its grain, the draping of its folds, its colour and its finish.
Nothing is produced for stock. Every order that is received is examined and processed individually. Manufacturing time can vary according to the model in question and the size and nature of the order. Then there is the transport from our works, which varies depending on the destination. Please note that de Sede delivers exclusively to its authorised trading partners.
The authorised furnishing dealer from whom the furniture was ordered is then responsible for delivering it to the customer and assembling it. He will arrange suitable dates and details with you. This service also includes fitting legs, armrests and headrests, linking separate elements together, installing electrically operated parts and disposing of packing materials.
Every de Sede model comes with full instructions for assembly. Please note that if you move house, for example, dismantling and reassembly should be carried out by trained specialists since our comprehensive warranty terms only remain valid in the event of damage if furniture has been handled correctly by properly trained professionals.
